This week, Ian talked about his favourite author, or rather his daughters favourite author, Oliver Jeffers. As a parent, its a real joy to discover an author who can captivate a young child’s mind, with fantastic stories and beautiful artwork, but its also great to find an author with a brilliant sense of humour who makes reading the books (over, and over, and over) a delight. Stuck is a particularly fine example of his story telling, described as a ‘tale of trying to solve a problem by throwing things at it’, (a familiar feeling for designers) its funny, charming and has an excellent rhythm as Floyd’s problem escalates dramatically!
