SMBC Aviation Capital 20th Anniversary
In 2021 SMBC Aviation Capital, one of the world’s leading aircraft lessors, celebrated their 20th anniversary. Specialising in leasing and trading young commercial jet aircraft, SMBC Aviation Capital have been at the forefront of the global aircraft leasing industry since their inception. We were tasked with creating a communications strategy for a year-long marketing campaign, and after consideration we proposed a theme of ‘Celebrating 20 years in flight’.
We developed a flexible logo system which could be used on all material, from email signatures to advertising and would feature prominently in the publication of their 2021 annual report. The report, designed first as an interactive online microsite with a full downloadable pdf, featured interviews with key team members, and an animated timeline of crucial milestones in the company’s history.
Along with the annual report we updated their brand with new, engaging powerpoint templates, quarterly reporting themes, advertising, both in print and online, and banners and backdrops for events. We are proud to say that this project was selected for inclusion in the 100 Archive for 2021, an annual archive that selects 100 of the most notable communication design projects each year in Ireland.
